This new body of watercolours and oil paintings by Stipan Tadić documents the artist's everyday life in NYC and explores feelings of isolation and loneliness usually related to big city life. Stipan frequently paints cityscapes using different perspectives to narrate multiple stories in one image and all locations featured in his works come from his daily routine.

Stipan's paintings are a commentary on the way memories can connect to specific places. This online show presents classic NYC sceneries mixed with symbols, letters, and ideas about Croatia and Stipan's own personal history. This way, Stipan investigates the relationship between the world visible to the eye in contrast to his inner world and on how these two can influence one another.

Different painting styles are usually combined to create a new image, referring to influential art historical movements and periods, such as Northern Renaissance painting, Japanese prints, Medieval art, German expressionism, as well as imagery taken from videogames, underground comics, and cell animation.
