Here is one of her early monochrome linocut prints from that period that she made while still living in Africa. Reflecting her nostalgia of her homeland and her people, she attempted to portray a female figure in her traditional Burqa face covering surrounded by palms, a familiar sight that she longs to see again.20of 20
